Err.. No thank you!

You, a potential customer walks into a showroom. The salesman there greets you and offered his services to you. He briefs you about the models being displayed there. He informs you about all the benefits of the model. Then he tells you that the model you are eyeing is going for a lower price since there's Raya around the corner. This made the deal very sweet and irresistible. You told him to give you some time. As you walk around the showroom pondering, you found something..

WTF??? o.0

El cheapo?

Something terrible which makes you feel disgusted at the brand of the car you might bought a minute ago. Something that will make you avoid the brand for quite some time...

Have a great Raya!!

To everyone who is celebrating Raya tomorrow, have a great one! Be safe on the road trip back home. Remember not to point the cannon (meriam buluh) at your house or your atuk's chicken coop!

Hmmm...

Stability, power, protection, realization; a great person.

The Emperor is the great authority figure of the Tarot, so it represents fathers, father-figures and employers. There is a lot of aggression and violence too.

The Emperor naturally follows the Empress. Like an infant, he is filled with enthuiasm, energy, aggression. He is direct, guileless and all too often irresistible. Unfortunately, like a baby he can also be a tyrant. Impatient, demanding, controlling. In the best of circumstances, he signifies the leader that everyone wants to follow, sitting on a throne that indicates the solid foundation of an Empire he created, loves and rules with intelligence and enthusiasm. But that throne can also be a trap, a responsibility that has the Emperor feeling restless, bored and discontent.

Full Throttle Ipoh!

When : 24th August 2oo8
Where : Stadium Indra Mulia, Ipoh
How much : RM15
Weather : Cloudy -> Strong winds -> Heavy rain

Sweet!! One of the best looking car there, but it's not a participant in the show. It was parked outside in the parking lot, there's a myvi behind it.

Can't read what is written on the paper? Well it says that the Myvi's tailpipes are replicated to look like the ones from the Ferrari F430.

Dr Love's ride!

A Proton Waja 5 series!

Move on to the picture below and have a closer look yourself.

These are the front tyres from the Waja 5 series. I was wondering how did he manage to get here. Even if his suspensions are rock hard, he can't even steer his car! Must have been done on the spot.

One of the OUTRAGEOUS car that I've ever seen before! Thumbs up to the designer for coming up with something like this!

Creativity has no limits.

There wasn't much cars left when I arrived there on Sunday. Most of the cars left already. So the event was pratically half empty. Then came the so called drifting event. The track layout was child's play and the cars were not even getting enough angle on their drift. The track was even covered with pot-holes right from the starting line. To make matters worse, the Rainman came with Ms Windy. Result = RM15 wasted. One of the worst autoshows I've been to. Can't blame it on them (The organiser) too much either, it was their first show. On the flip side, they should have been better since it was supported by the top people of Perak itself! Full Throttle? Not there yet. It was more like Half Throttle.

The Maths Factor!

Maths was a tough battle this morning. We were ambushed from the Southern pass. We did not expect them to cross the Algebric Marshes by morning. Damn those Index fighter they brought from the Logarithmic Republic. Their Probability Blade was laced with vile poison that caused the men to drop to the ground one by one after a few hits despite being equipped with Statistical Armour. Our army was vanquished when dark Quartiles Arrows were released from the South-western front. Bodies are everywhere now. The stench of death is overpowering. I doubt I will ever have the strength to swing my sword again. Maths.. is one hella enemy!

PlasticNation.

Did you ever drink from a plastic bottle and see a triangle symbol on the
bottom with a number inside?

Do you know what the number stands for? Did you guess that it's just for
recycling? Then you are WRONG !!!!!! THE NUMBER TELLS YOU THE CHEMICAL MAKE UP
OF THE PLASTIC.....

1) Polyethylene terephalate (PET)

2) High density polyethylene (HDPE)

3) Unplasticised polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) or Plasticised polyvinyl
chloride (PPVC)

4) Low density polyethylene LDPE

5) Polypropylene (PP)

6) Polystyrene (PS) or Expandable polystyrene (EPS)

7) Other, including nylon and acrylic

What you aren't told is that many of the plastics used are toxic and the
chemicals used to make a plastic can leach out of the plastic and into the food
/ drink. Think about it, how many times have you or a friend said 'I don't like
this, it tastes like the plastic bottle ..... ' THAT'S BECAUSE YOU ARE TASTING
THE PLASTIC

The WORST ONES are Nos: 3, 6, and 7 !!!
DO NOT USE THESE NUMBERS if
stated at the bottom of the bottle) !!!

Check out this chart that breaks down the plastic, its uses and chemical
makeup (I find #7 a little scary) http://www.epd.gov.hk/epd/english/environmentinhk/waste/guide_ref/guide_plascod3.html

Reusing plastic bottles by refilling them is NOT a good idea. WATCH THIS
VIDEO: http://video.wnbc.com/player/?id=238518

Microwaving plastic containers affects the chemical make up of the
plastic, allowing the chemical substances to destabilize and leach out more
quickly into the food you are reheating. You can check out this article that ran
in the Wall Street Journal: http://www.mindfully.org/Plastic/Microwave-Health-Problems.htm

EVEN one of my favorite 'RUMOR DEBUNKING' websites, URBANLEGENDS.ABOUT.COM

Lists the information as: overblown with a grain of TRUTH READ the FULL 3
pages of the article! http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl-microwave-dioxin.htm

AVOID re-using plastic bottles RIGHT AWAY !!!

Received this email from Jemmy. Is this true? Any chemical engineers or anyone with any knowledge about plastic bottles confirm this?

Flying what? Flying cars?

Our fascination with the sky never ends. From our first flight courtesy of the Wright Brothers up till now. A while back we already have a working concept of a flying car from Moller with their XM and M series. (Lol.. M3? M5?). Here's a picture of it. I can't seem to find a clearer picture of it in flight or hovering but I assure you, I AM NOT PULLING YOUR LEG here! I've seen a video on it on TechTV, Astro Channel 13 some time back.

Looks more like a plane than a car right? Now they have a new model which is still in the testing phase which resembles a car more. Funded by a tycoon from Russia who wants to bypass the traffic jam in style, the new model being tested came in the form of a Ferrari 599 GTB. Yep you heard it right, a Ferrari 599 GTB. Another picture for you.

It looks fugly but who cares? Its not your money that is going into the project, its not like you are being taxed for it, its the tycoon's money. Critic as much as we may, but it may be the apple of his eye. One man's trash is another's treasure.

Sure enough, one day in the future, car and plane will be one as what laptops and desktops will be. I'm sure some designers out there won't disappoint us!

Well, if you are interested in buying one of these flying cars or perhaps you are feeling generous and is willing to donate some money for their research, here's their company site --> Moller
