These are the front tyres from the Waja 5 series. I was wondering how did he manage to get here. Even if his suspensions are rock hard, he can't even steer his car! Must have been done on the spot.

There wasn't much cars left when I arrived there on Sunday. Most of the cars left already. So the event was pratically half empty. Then came the so called drifting event. The track layout was child's play and the cars were not even getting enough angle on their drift. The track was even covered with pot-holes right from the starting line. To make matters worse, the Rainman came with Ms Windy. Result = RM15 wasted. One of the worst autoshows I've been to. Can't blame it on them (The organiser) too much either, it was their first show. On the flip side, they should have been better since it was supported by the top people of Perak itself! Full Throttle? Not there yet. It was more like Half Throttle.

Lol.. Kancil? I'll be a laughing stock n be labelled as one of those Malay rempits who recently had an upgrade. Lol.. Btw, not worth modding my fragile Kancil.
I prefer modding Japanese brands, that is if I have the money to. I dun mind European too, and again that is if I have the money. Lol..
Myvi? I've seen some that is quite nice.. But I think u shouldn't overdo it.

just test drove one the other day. i'm still wondering how on earth ppl drive them at 140. auto 1.3 tekan bit jalan, tekan more....eh? like no tekan. tekan more more....ahhhhhhh i give up.

Kev : I'm sure KLIMS is better than this. Supercars were there! HUGE wing? How HUGE can a wing get? About the myvi, you have to consider that the driver is a gal. Engine mods won't b their top priority, mayb just a few bits like intake and ECU will do. Interior would be their top priority I guess?
Myvi 1.3 auto? Meh.. I hate autoboxes. IMHO, Myvi should have a 1.5 engine not a puny 1.3.
Veini : I'm having my sem break now, so that's why. I do have another post on cars coming up, but posting photos and moving them about in Blogspot is a pain in the arse! Btw, none of them are mine. I would love to have the rx8!

RX-8 very thirsty lor, and if you watch Top Gear season 9, got pwned by Audi TT n Alfa Romeo Brera. They all ended up admitting the Alfa is the best car...no hang on, the worst, no, but the best is the worst....eh?

Haha, been seeing quite a few 1-series ard Subang Jaya. Such an eyesore, how the fcuk Msians still got cash to spare for a rubbish overpriced cramped-mobile just to tell the world he has no frens n he has slept with all the women in Klang Valley, while at the same time complain like mad when petrol increase 78sen? Seriously, if I'm the agong, I'll strip all 1-series owner of citizenship, that way, they'll have absolutely no right to complain or vote. Padan muka.

I saw a comparison test between the TT, the Rx-8 and the Brera in Fifth Gear. They did not end the thing by saying which one is the best among all three. It was noted that the Rx-8 was the best performer among the 3 and also the thirstiest!
5th gear ppl too nerdy lor, me dun quite like. I can very much imagine in my head how they review those cars: "Ahh, the brakes let it turn in; this is just amazing!!; I can feel the torque belching out from the engine, it's unbelievable!!; the interior looks very modern n clean; the way it corners; oh, it is absolutely wonderful; the sound of the screaming wankel engine is amazing!! Hear the tyres screeching....ooh, that feels great; it gets very noisy past 5000rpm, but it's also when it starts to get alive n kickin'!!" zzzzzzzz
TG's was of accessing is better to me. They look at cars as..... something more. Those 3 stooges are always able share with viewers abt the car more than what u can read from brochures or official websites. 5th gear, is too rigid. The kinda ppl who strictly believe an apple can only be compared with another apple. The clowns at TG meanwhile, would forever compare an apple to a baboon. Yes, they're ultra biased n unfair, but hey, since when is the world a fair place? Best of all, they're always frank: if a car is rubbish, it's rubbish then, period.
So yes, the Brera may be the slowest, least golf-ish, not quite well equipped, carries a badge with nasty reliability record n rather poor 2nd hand value, etc. Theoretically, Brera is the worst of the 3.
And yet.
How can you not feel the love aura it emanates? You can immediately see the car was designed by a man who has a good artistic taste, and then there's the interior. Sitting inside a Brera is like sitting in a cafe somewhere in Rome or some Mediterranean cities. You feel classy n stylish. You just feel great naturally. Sitting in the Audi...is like sitting in a Berlin post office. Oh sure, it actually looks "clean, modern, expensive n sophisticated", but it cannot put a smile on my face. Instead, to fit in with the theme, u gotta look like a German. Dour n professional, much as you would when you're having a meeting with the CEO of Strancherfruhrerreche or some multi-national company. So yes, it makes you feel great too.....in a cocky smart-aleck kind of way.
So, what abt the RX-8 then? Being a Japanese, it's different than the Continentals (duuh). It's rotary wankel engine or whatever may work, n looks good on paper: same cc as Myvi, but the power output of a nuclear powerplant. Sadly, its spare parts are horribly expensive to replace n it drinks fuel like a fighter jet. On full throttle at all times. The RX-8 is like a car from some mecha animes: postmodern n fictional but one you can actually touch n drive. It makes you feel different than eveyone else....in a lonely kind of way. You have to be a really lonely or hated person to buy it...or desperate to look like an Ah Beng for less price than the Subaru n Evo I think. Not sure abt new Impreza's price, but the new lancer evo x is like rm315k+.

Yeah that's how the guys over at Fifth Gear will go around doing their job. While at TG, it's more like a circus. lol. Both shows are quite far apart. Fifth Gear (FG) is more serious and straight to the point compared to TG. TG is more entertaining in the sense that they will do a lot of stupid stuff which amuses us. The host from the two shows are even further apart. One started with pen and paper while the other one started off with the steering wheel and the gear lever. Tiff is definitely a better driver than Jeremy be it rain or shine. Jeremy is better at making funny and absurd comparisons. Hmmm.. I guess that's why TG has The Stig!
Ok let me recall again what I wrote on those three cars.
The Alfa Romeo is of course and always will be a sexy car manufacturer. All Alfa will exude the sex appeal aura. (Reminds me of DoTA..). Put it on the track, it will be no match for the TT and the 8. It's more of a practical everyday car.
The TT would be somewhere in the middle. Less powerful than the 8, looks like a bulldog but it will still inch its way away from the Brera in terms of performance. Bah.. I hate the looks. It looks ugly. Oh I'm talking about the previous TT as they reviewed the previous one not the current R8 look-alike one. If it's that, I would love to own it!
The 8 is best track weapon amongst all 3. It's easy on the road tax as it's a 1.3l but it's not all flowery and cotton candy like when it comes to fuel consumption and frequent trips to the workshop to change the seals. Looks not bad as it will surely be a head turner as it passes by.
Beng? I would feel that the Evo and the Subaru would be more Beng compared to the 8. Hmmm.. Might be caused by the millions of Wiralution, Wajalution and Sagaru out there.
The Evo is always more expensive than the WRX.
