F1 anyone?

This is as close as you can get to actually own a Formula 1 car. Meet the Ariel Atom 500. Behind the seat is a 2.4 liter V8 engine with 5-valve cylinder-heads with a supercharger producing over 200 horses per liter. The huge GT wing at the back is to keep this monster glued to the ground. Now imagine all this in a car that weighs less than a ton. This means that this monster of a car has over 1000hp per ton.

Still don't get it? Let's put a lil perspective in here. The Perodua Myvi is 960kg (close to a ton) and has 85.83hp (64kW). The mighty Bugatti Veyron is 1888kg and has 1001hp. Yes that's how crazy this car is..

The similarities don't stop there however. With 500bhp @ 10,000rpm, it can give a F1 car a run for their money. Better start running now F1, the Atom is closing in, fast!
