KAMPAR, Thursday 5/03/09 - It happened so sudden. I could never fathom the thought of it happening. But it did happen. What made it worse was there was nothing that could be done to improve the situation. Give it some thought, and you'd realise that the situation was the best option. It was the lesser of the two evils. It had to happen.

This friendly dog whom we fondly know as Scooby had to be put down. In other words, its life was ended by euthanasia through lethal injection. Apparently, it had bitten two persons and one of them lodged a report against it. The local guard told my friend that two persons had already been bitten by a dog. He described the dog to my friend, Ah Boy and to his horror, it was Scooby. The guard also added that the local council will be coming soon to shoot Scooby. On that night, in an attempt to save the poor dog's life, he drove it a distance away from our housing area and left it there. Sadly the plan failed, it came back the next morning. There was also plans to put it somewhere as far as Tapah so he won't come back but we fear he might get beaten up or shot if it bites someone there. As a last resort, Ah Boy drove him to the nearest vet which was quite far and had it put to sleep there. Even the vet that put Scooby to sleep hesitated, he said that it was too young. Yes he is but there was no choice. It was better this than being shot.

Scooby we'll be missing you lots. We're really sorry. This was the best we could do for you. Personally, you're one of the best looking strays I have ever seen. I'll miss seeing your sleepy face, your stupid antics, your companionship, your friendliness and lots more. Goodbye Scooby and may God keep you safe forever.
