This is useful for breakdowns in the middle of the night. The only difficult part is splitting the pencil half. So you should at least have a Swiss knife with you for this to work.

I saw that before. In my opinion ripping off the interior light is much easier than splitting the pencil.
Better still buy an LED torchlight when refuelling.
The light at the centre of the ceiling? Yup LED torchlight are everywhere, even in pasar malams.
