Babes & Bat Mobiles Wanted!!

Mean Machines is back with a bang this year. Better than ever, meaner than before. However the date and the venue will remain the same as the previous year. To those who are still in the dark, it will be held at Highway Auto City, Juru, Penang on the 25th and 26th October 2008.

Don't know how to get to Autocity? Fret not. Just exit the North-South Expressway through the Juru interchange.

It will be on the phase 3, just like Citibank. Still can't get it? Turn on your GPS or get one in Mean Machines.

Hungry? Don't worry about that. There's a variety of food there waiting for you. From the simple Ice Ice Baby to giants like Subway and Manhattan Fish Market. Not your cup of tea? I assure you there are others too. Enjoy your meal while feasting your eyes on the best of the motosport industry of Malaysia.

There's a few surprises should you turn up during the day. No no no, I won't be leaking anything out. You'll have to be there.

The best part of it all, it's free! There's no entrance fee or cover charge! Just walk right in and stay there for as long as you wish.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Babes! Heads up. There will be a search for the next Miss M2 (Mean Machines). RM 50 will be imposed to all registration. That RM 50 will earn you a free make-over with hair-do and make-up plus one potrait shot. Lacking the pose? Chill girls, free classes on modeling will be give as well especially carshow modelling. Oh do remember that your registration fee will NOT be refunded if you bailed out.

Here comes the good part, Miss M2 2008 will walk away with a cash prize of RM 2000 and of course a tiara and sash and also a photo feature at Hypertune Magazine (One of the top magazine in the industry).

1st runner-up will receive a cash prize of RM 1000, the sash and tiara plus a feature in Shift Magazine.

2nd runner-up will be getting the same thing as the 1st runner-up except a RM 500 deduction in the cash prize.

There are supplementary titles that are yet to be confirmed.

Interested? Head over to the OFFICIAL PAGE for more info. The registration form is HERE. The registration form is in pdf format.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To my brothers out there, you are not left out. Got a ride that resembles Batman's? Or maybe Ironman's? Take 5 minutes and register your ride HERE.

Just like the girls, there's a RM 50 registration fee. After registering, you will be given a 'competition kit'.

Your monster Kancil not up to par with the Murcielago bull? Don't panic, there are 6 categories in all and one car can only register in ONE category. To even out the playing field, the catagories are :

1. K-Car Standard
2. Proton Standard
3. Open Standard
4. Open Wild
5. Open Extreme
6. Open VIP

Judging criteria? Your rides will be judged on :
1. Bodykit (A big portion of the marks will come from this)
2. Interior
3. ICE (In-car entertainment)
4. Paint & Stickers
5. Lighting
6. Rims & Tyres
7. Engine Bay
8. Exhaust & Tail Pipe

Looks tough? Your efforts in pimping your ride will be rewarded. Winners of each category will receive a cash prize of RM 300 and a trophy. Second place winner will be getting RM 200 plus a trophy. Not forgetting Mr number 3, he will be receiving RM 100 and also the trophy.

About the batmobile and the car from Ironman, I was joking. Even if your ride is not as wild as those, you may still participate. Better yet if it is. And again, the registration form for the Modified Car Competition can be downloaded HERE.

Lookie here...

I've heard of this book before. Saw it on sale in a major bookstore. Thought it was creative but crazily expensive. Of all places, I found it in the Uni's library. I guess it has to do with media studies..

From Captain America..

To Spiderman...

Then to Superman...

And to Tintin...

And also the X-Men...

Here's the proof it's from the library.

Illusion?

All that is gold does not glitter,

Not all those who wander are lost;

The old that is strong does not wither,

Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,

A light from the shadows shall spring;

Renewed shall be blade that was broken,

The crownless again shall be king.

The Black Book Version 2.0!

New theme is up. I took quite some time to tweak everything back into place. Still needs some prodding and snipping here and there, but I don't know how that can be done.

Things that need to be done :
1. Centralise the titles in the side bar.
2. Centralise all the links in the Journeys section.

Hmmm.. I think that's all. So what do you think about it? Not bad eh?

I am the Nightwalker!

I've been up late a few nights already. No I'm not having insomnia. I've been transforming.. Claws begin to form from my fingers, dark, dirty and razor-like claws. The two studs on my head had begin to show its true form, now a pair of horns stood on top of my head. My eyes had turned green not with envy but instead with ambition. Stare deeper into them and you'll discover a blazing emerald fire filled with wrath, envy, greed, lust and pride. I hunger for battles, for only battles will make me stronger. As many battles as I fought, still I cannot satisfy my hunger. I will bring pestilence, famine, war and eventually death to any who dare oppose me...

I AM THE NIGHTWALKER!!!

In actualy fact I have been prowling Facebook for a few late nights already. What am I scouring for late in the night? No corpses or gold nuggets for me to steal in there. I've been addicted to Elven Blood and Skies of Blood. Both of them are applications in Facebook. And yes, both of them are RPGs (Role Playing Games). I love RPGs as they gives you a sense of achievement after playing them. As you progress through the game, your character will develop as well. I prefer it over games played a few rounds like Counter-Strike and DoTA (Defense of The Ancients).

In Elven Blood you play an elf who is out to save the world. The storyline is pretty much linear with no variations at all. Everyone will have the same storyline and everyone's character will be the same elf. The only difference in there is how you build your character. There's 4 attributes to level; HP, Stamina, Strength and Agility. Well I don't have to explain HP. Stamina is needed for actions. This games requires stamina in everything you do, from walking to another town to completing a quest. It recharges but it sure is a long time. Items gained from quest or bought can increase your stamina faster. Strength determines your attack points and defence points. Agility helps you avoid damage and perform critical strikes.

You are catapulted into the future when playing Skies of Blood. You take up the role of a police squad member. It has the same format as Elven Blood, only the setting, the storyline and the item is different.

It's quite addictive once you start playing. You just can't wait for your stamina to recharge! Once you start, you won't stop till the end of the storyline. Bah.. You might not even stop although the story ended, you'd move on to PvP (Player vs Player) instead!

JGTC. (Qualifying)

I was at Sepang a few months back during the Japan Super GT Championship. Sorry for the delay as the amount of photo was enourmous! This is just the qualifying part. There's still the actual race the next day. It's usually the best time to go to a race during the qualifying sessions as there's not much of a crowd there and your chances of taking pictures with your favourite GT girl is higher. It is almost the same as the actual race itself. Engines roared as drivers downshifts before going into a corner. Drivers stomp on the gas pedal as the straight approaches. Cars zig zag their way down the straight and held on tight to their racing line as they defend their position. The pit crew was in top form too as they make split second tyre change and refuelling before flagging off their car again.

This was all for grid position on the next day. Of course it would be an advantage to start the race in front of other drivers, eventhough it is by just a few metres. A few metres, a few kilo's, a few seconds could mean a lot on the track.

MALAYSIA BOLEH!!!!

See the little pool on the right hand side? It's for drivers to chill in after their hot lap around Sepang. Seriously!

Reminds me of the times in camp where we hang our clothes to dry in the open.

The prancing horse.

Close up of the kiddie pool for the drivers.
